Health professionals seem to fall into two groups, those who believe that toxic molds create health problems in a broad sampling of the population and those who believe that molds only affect those who are already seriously ill.

Fact is, mold has been around forever, but  only recently started to attract media attention.

Mold has been found in a lot of schools. In one of them, Teachers have complained for several years about mold, before the problem was fixed. But still, action by school officials was triggered when a teacher became ill and was treated by a physician for a mold-related illness.

Long Beach City College online newspaper is stating the obvious saying that "Dangerous environmental problems should not be ignored". Unfortunately, the college seems to have ignored, or avoided, dangerous environmental problems.

When full-time teachers union President Adrian Novotny told a group of journalism students Thursday, Oct.7, "We've got some serious health and safety problems at both campuses," the concerns reached into the fabric of the district's priority-setting agenda.
