"The New England group will recommend tearing down the house," Nancy
said. "The realtor wants all air quality tests and will keep in touch
with the bank. He wants to know fully about the mold".
That' s an interesting story about people founding out their house was full of mold, up to a point where the bank had to take the house back.
Are you a homeowner with mold concerns?
Maybe you're shopping for insurance that covers mold damages? We've got
bad news for you. The chore of shopping for homeowners insurance is
going to get more complicated.
In fact, as the
number and cost of mold damage claims soared last year, some insurers began to restrict
or end sales of new policies and raise premiums steeply on renewals.
Mold and environmental issues are taken very seriously these day. Want an example?
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, has fined the one of the retailer's giant for selling a variety
of garden hoses that claim to inhibit mold, fungus and bacteria growth.
The Agency made a determination that the hoses are unregistered pesticide
products.
Some companies are really dedicated to make homes safer. One of these
companies is PRO-LAB(tm), which has been developing and selling
do-it-yourself mold test kits to average consumers for over 5 years.
