"We tried to save money in a way that didn't pay off. You could say we couldn't afford the Buick so we went for the used Chevy".
And now you've got yourself a nasty case of toxic mold. Lesson learned: do not cut corners when building a school.
Your home is supposed to be a haven from the
stresses of the world. But it could be a breeding ground for health
risks, from mold to asbestos to radon.
Sampling of hazards? Air Pollution, Asbestos, Carbon Monoxide, Lead Poisoning, Radon, and Mold.
Excessive moisture or water indoors will support
mold growth, which over time can lead to allergies, asthma and
other respiratory ailments. (It's the fuzzy material, often black
or gray, that may show up on baseboards or walls.)
The key to controlling mold, experts say, is
keeping inside humidity low and fixing any cracks in walls where
there's been water damage. In some cases, mold on hard surfaces can
be washed off with detergent and water.
