Written by SuperMold
The consumer is facing a problem with mold as the insurance companies are refusing to pay. This issue has been a new and increasing problem for consumers and insurance to agree upon.Doctors agree some mold can be toxic, and if the problem spreads the homes can be inhabitable, insurance companies claim it is not covered.

Until insurance companies and consumers can resolve this issue, homeowners can take a variety of preventative measures against mold.

1. Before buying a house, it is best to get a thorough inspection from a certified inspector that is familiar testing for mold, especially if the house is in a flood zone.

2. For those who already have homes, there are test kits available, PRO-LAB mold test kits are a good option, you can find them in retail stores like Home Depot and they can also analyze the mold plate and tell you if you have a unusual mold conditions.

3. If you already know you have mold in your house immediately have the area with mold removed before it spreads.
